Provision by Idol Sacrifice Food

Idol sacrifice food in some parts of Oyo state is sometimes very sweet. I know because God used it to preserve me. Somewhere in 2012 I went to the missionary location of a mentor in Oyo State. At the time, he was broke but compared to me, he was very rich. God has since added wealth to him. We only ate mangoes cos that was what was in season and we didn’t have money to get real food.

One day, very early in the morning I took a prayer walk and I was asking God to help me with food. Mangoes had started running my stomach. As I walked that day, I noticed a calabash with food inside. Yam and oil. I avoided it and was already condemning the practice of dropping sacrifice on the road in my heart, when a thought entered my heart. “What if that’s my provision for you?”

I walked back after much contemplating and looked at the food. It was still good. I looked around and no one seemed to disturb me as I got closer. That was my first real meal in that town, but that was not my last.

Soon, every time I saw a god-looking sacrifice, I would sit down and say these words “Whatever you’re asking for is granted” right before I ate it.

Everyone wondered why I enjoyed my prayer walks and never missed it. Everyone also wondered how I started gaining weight again.
